Meditation and Yoga Part I

Recently I began exploring the worlds of meditation and yoga. As of right now I have had the privilege of taking two beginner yoga classes, which were absolutely amazing. Yoga can be extremely difficult but when the session is over it's extremely satisfying. After only two classes I have cracked bones that I never thought existed in my body and I feel more "stretched" than I have in the past 5 years. Yoga is definitely a rewarding experience that I wish I discovered years ago.

Meditation, on the other hand, is something I am having a problem with. I'm one of those people who's mind is constantly on the go. I'm always writing different ideas down and my mind's activity even keeps me from sleeping at night. I seem to wake up every 30-45 minutes with different thoughts. So-much-so that I keep a pen and paper on my night stand right next to me. I have been meditating for quite some time now and in the beginning it was very difficult, and if I can be honest it's still is. There are still times to this day where I just cannot connect with my inner soul. It doesn't help that it took me months to find the perfect "mediation" music and lighting. After trying countless Cd's and different lighting styles I finally found the environment that worked for me and I have to say it has made my experience 10 times better.

Meditation For Beginners--Video

I highly recommend yoga and mediation for everyone. In my experiences they have helped to calm me down after stressful days and these practices have helped me to cope with stressful situations throughout my day.

What else is there to say but goodnight and goodnight to you Mrs. Amore, wherever you may be.
