By green I mean that I reused certain things I had and came across. For example I had an old pallet laying around that I received when I placed a large order for boat parts. I also had some wood and screen that I was not using which allowed me to raise the pallet and allow for drainage. I'm pleased to say that so far it's working out very well. Take a look:
Next I came across a plastic pool that was not being used and I decided to give it a try. First I power washed the entire pool, next I drilled a good amount of holes in the bottom, then I added a layer of small rocks, and finally organic soil. To my surprise it's working very well. I water all the gardens at least once a day early in the morning. If the temperature is 90 degrees or above I water them twice. Here's a picture of the pool garden:
And the last garden that I have attempted to grow is underneath my kitchen window. This garden is a bit more challenging than the others because of the lack of sunlight that shines in this area because of the roof overhang. That being said my results are still very good and I can't wait to enjoy the food! Here's a picture:
I highly recommend for you to grow your own fruits and vegetables if you can. There is some start-up cost involved but you should save money over the long run and the benefits you can receive from organic foods can only be positive.
What else is there to say but goodnight and goodnight to you Mrs. Amore, wherever you may be.
