Christmas Cheer!

Take this time of year to spread Christmas cheer! A few ways that I do this and recommend are:

1. Don't be afraid to say Merry Christmas to strangers.

2. Carry pocketfuls of spare change. Put money in every Salvation Army kettle you encounter. There is no better way to spread Christmas cheer than sharing with others less fortunate.

3. Donate those old coats, clothes, shoes, etc.

4. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, church, or the American Red Cross. A few of the things I enjoy most are:
  • Friendly Visitor Program: Volunteers provide the gift of companionship to homebound senior citizens.
  • Elderly Escort Program: Volunteers accompany local residents to their doctor's appointments.

6. Help feed the children! www.feedthechildren.org/caravan

7. And my personal favorite, take a $100 dollars and go out on the weekend before Christmas and just give it to someone who looks like they need it.

"I hear a child telling Santa what to bring and the smile upon his tiny face is worth more to me than anything."

What else is there to say but goodnight and goodnight to you Mrs. Amore, wherever you may be.
