Top 5 Free Utility Apps: No one has ever accused me of being as handy or organized as Bob Vila, instead I always received Tim Allen’s character Tim Taylor from that popular 90s sitcom Home Improvement. Even today I am not sure why because whether or not I finish my projects and personal tasks or trained professionals finish them, the bottom line is that they get finished. Just because I usually require multiple stitches on my hands, bandages throughout my arms and legs, I wake up late, or lose the grocery list, it should have no bearing on people’s opinions of me. Review: The Washington Post App For iPad:  Riddle me this riddle me that, what took so long for the Washington Post app? People use to associate such terms as ground-breaking and innovative with the Washington Post but in recent years this has not been appropriate. But fear not my dedicated Post fans the innovative heart of the Washington Post received a shot of adrenaline in 2010. First in March 2010 the iPhone app launched to good reviews. Then in November 2010 the highly anticipated Washington Post iPad app launched. Not only was the launching done with a press release but also the Washington Post went one step further and created a video press release for the app (see below). With that much buzz surrounding this app, by golly, its time I take a good look at it and give my review.

Martha Stewart launches makes cookies app: Well-supplied because of a $6 million investment from Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers’ iFund and Zynga's Mark Pincus Callaway Digital Arts created the Martha Stewart Makes Cookies App. Martha Stewart and Nicholas Callway on Monday introduced the app on her syndicated TV show to a very accepting audience. “It’s much more than a video cookbook,” says CEO Nicholas Callaway. “There hasn’t been an app like this before.”

Android overtakes Apple iPad as second most popular mobile development platform: Millenial Media in collaboration with DIGIDAY and leading Wall Street analyst Jordan Rohan from Stifel Nicolaus have released their State of the Apps Industry Snapshot for 2010. The study found that Android has overtaken Apple iPad as the second most popular development platform.
